FAQ
What is an atSign?
An atSign is both an address and a unique identifier for your device (e.g., @remotedevice01_np). As long as your device is connected to the internet, you can securely reach it via its atSign, regardless of its location or IP address.
What is a custom atSign?
The Personal version of NoPorts comes with two randomly-generated atSigns (e.g., @flyingcow01_np). For the Professional and Enterprise plans, you can designate the first portion of your atSigns (e.g., @*yourchosenname*01_np)., so long as the name you want is available. This allows you to select a name relevant to your project, brand, or device (e.g., @remotelocation01_np, @atsign01_np, @londonserver01_np).
What does "non-commercial use" mean?
Non-commercial use means you are using NoPorts Personal strictly for your own individual projects, personal devices, or educational purposes.
This includes:
- Personal Use: Home labs, personal computers, IoT projects, or side projects that do not generate revenue.
